Dimensional & Scale Calculator

Turn a target dimension, model scale or percentage into a precise resize factor. Resize X, Y and Z proportionally and convert common length units locally.

Runs locally in your browser · no uploads or account

01 / SET YOUR SCALE

One matching dimension
Resize all three dimensions (optional)
Proportional X / Y / Z

Enter all three original dimensions to resize them together, or leave all three blank for just the scale factor. Measurements use the input unit and results use the output unit.

Positive decimal values, up to six decimal places and 1,000,000 per input. Results are capped at 1,000,000,000 and displayed to six decimals. Extremely small results may round to zero.

Choose a method and enter your dimensions.

ONE FACTOR, EVERY AXIS

Preserve the proportions.

Dimension factor = target length ÷ original length after both are converted to the same unit. Resize percentage = factor × 100. Each output axis = original axis × factor, converted to the output unit.

Example: 100 mm → 125 mm gives a factor of 1.25, or 125%. A 100 × 40 × 20 mm model becomes 125 × 50 × 25 mm.

Unit conversion uses exact international definitions: 1 inch = 25.4 mm, 1 foot = 304.8 mm, and 1 yard = 914.4 mm. Metric units use powers of ten.

MODEL SCALE

From one scale to another.

For an original scale A:B and target scale C:D, factor = (C ÷ D) ÷ (A ÷ B). Moving from 1:64 to 1:43 enlarges the model: 64 ÷ 43 ≈ 1.48837209, or 148.837209%.

The percentage is a length multiplier. Area and volume change by the square and cube of that factor; this calculator resizes lengths only. Check printer limits and clearances before printing a scaled part.
